Log in and log out
You log in to Nuix Discover using a single URL.
Important: Each time you log in, use the application URL provided by your administrator. If you access the login page through another URL, you might see an error message.
The appearance of the application login page varies based on how the application authenticates you as a user. The application can use its own authentication (referred to as Ringtail Authentication), Windows Active Directory authentication, or a third-party identity provider.
Log in to Nuix Discover
To log in to the application:
In a web browser, type the application link provided by your administrator.
On the login page, do one of the following:
Type your user name and password, and then click Log In.
If you see only the User name text box, do the following:
Type your user name and click Next.
Tip: To return to the previous page, click the left arrow button next to the Log in button.
Type your password, and then click Log in.
Note: If the password management feature, which allows you to change or reset a forgotten or expired password, is enabled for your environment, see Manage your password. If you type the wrong password too many times, you may have to wait five minutes before trying to log in again.
If your administrator configures an additional identity provider for authentication, click the link you see to log in using that identity provider.
If your administrator configures your account to require two-factor authentication, the application directs you to a page where you select an authentication method for your user account that uses, for example, a mobile phone or a temporary passcode. Two-factor authentication can be used with Nuix Discover, AD, or identity provider authentication.
If prompted, review and accept the end user license agreement.
After you log in, the Portal Home page appears.
Note: You can bookmark the URL for the Portal Home page, but avoid using a bookmark for the login page.
Click a case name to access the Case Home page for a case. For more information about the Case Home page, see Navigate the interface.
Note: If the link for a case is not active, then your access has been restricted by certain days and times.
