Firefox browser redirects to HTTPS

If Nuix Neo is configured without TLS enabled, users of Firefox version 114 or later will not be able to access any of the Nuix Neo services. This occurs because the Firefox browser now redirects all web sites to HTTPS by default.

To disable automatic HTTPS redirection in Firefox:

In the Firefox browser address bar, enter about:config and press enter.

When prompted, click Accept the Risk and Continue.

On the Advanced Preferences page, enter the following into the Search preference name search box.

network.stricttransportsecurity.preloadlist

Click the Toggle button located next to the preference’s name to change its value to False.

Exit out of the Advanced preferences tab and attempt to access Nuix Neo.

After performing these steps, the Firefox browser should no longer automatically redirect HTTP URLs to HTTPS, allowing access to instances of Nuix Neo that are not secured.
