Nuix Investigate software requirements

The following software is required for the operation of Nuix Neo:

This version of Nuix Neo has been tested on the following most recent browser versions:

Tip: Some Nuix Neo functions require pop-up windows. Nuix recommends disabling pop-up blockers or configuring the browser to allow pop-ups from Nuix Neo associated URLs.

Nuix Cloud License Server (CLS)

Required for Cloud based licensing.

Refer to the Nuix CLS Getting started Guide for additional information.

Note: If Nuix Neo is installed in an environment with restricted network access, an instance of Nuix Management Server, configured in relay mode, may be required.

Nuix Management Server (Relay mode only) (optional)

Refer to the Installing Management Server Section of the Nuix Management Server User Guide for installation instructions.

Microsoft Office Online Server (optional)

Install to enable the Near Native document viewer.

See the Configure Near Native Viewer section of the Nuix Neo Configuration Guide for more information.

FFmpeg (optional)

Used to extract movie and image data from multimedia items.

Nuix recommends v4.4 or later.

Offline Maps Tile Server (optional)

Required to enable the Offline maps view in Nuix Investigate.

Select and download a dataset from OpenStreetMap tiles.

Note: dataset files are large (over 50 GBs each).

Elasticsearch v8.13.2 (optional)

Used to store, search, and analyze large volumes of data using a distributed system.

See the Elasticsearch Reference [8.13] Documentation for how to set up an Elasticsearch cluster.

PostgreSQL v14.2

Database management system used by Nuix Neo. PostgreSQL is included in the Shared services installer for Windows installations.

Keycloak v21.1.2

Access management tool used by Nuix Neo. Keycloak is included in the Shared services installer for Windows installations.
