Improvements
Security improvements
Java 11 was updated to a build based on OpenJDK 11.0.21, which patches several security vulnerabilities. This impacts the ECC Server, ECC Admin Console, and ECC Client with Search.
Several third-party libraries were updated which patch various security vulnerabilities, including the HTTP/2 ‘Rapid Reset’ vulnerability (CVE-2023-44487) and the ‘Text4Shell’ vulnerability (CVE-2022- 42889).
Note: Previous versions of Nuix ECC are not vulnerable to the Text4Shell exploit, despite their inclusion of older versions of Apache Commons Text.
ECC Client improvements
Collections that save to Amazon S3 buckets now use the “S3 CRT Client” mechanism from the AWS SDK, resulting in significantly faster S3 uploads of files greater than 5 MB.
Fixed issues
This version of Nuix Enterprise Collection Center does not contain any bug fixes. See the Release Notes of previous ECC versions for recent fixes.

A ‘Network Collector’ license allows collecting from the local Windows computer and any network share accessible from that computer.
A ‘SharePoint Collector’ license allows collecting content from a SharePoint server running SharePoint 2010 or older.
