Performs OCR and inserts searchable text and PDFs back into Nuix Workstation. See OCR data and Nuix Workstation Guide to OCR Processing for further information. |
Carve Unidentified Items |
Carves the selected unidentified item. An unidentified item is basically a "blob of data". By running "carving" on it, you search for magic numbers throughout the data that might indicate the presence of actual files and try to extract them. This is typically run over unallocated data on physical disks. You can also do this from a right-click option on selecting items in the Results view. See the Customize data in a Results view row section in View items in the Results pane for details. |
Create Item Numbers |
Numbers an item directly in the case, outside of any Production Set, that you can edit if required (as it is stored as custom metadata). This is the same as a Document ID in a Production Set which you can use as the item's Production Set Document ID if that Production Set has imported numbering. |
Pivot |
Changes the central point of a map in one of two ways: By time: Set to 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day; and further pivot by selecting All, Item Date, Date Accessed, Date Created, or Date Modified. By location: Set to one 100m, 1km, 5Km, 10km, or 100km; as well as a custom distance. |
